PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

As the Digital Merchandising Specialist, you'll play a key role in driving day-to-day merchandising optimization for our new ecommerce platform with your demonstrated inventory management skills. By collaborating with our in-house Brand, Ecommerce, Operations, Customer Experience and Regulatory teams, you’ll update and/or create new ecommerce site content, product pages, category pages, landing pages, as well as copy and SEO optimizations within our SalesForce Commerce Cloud platform. You’ll need to have a strong understanding of our online consumers to inform your decision-making process, and we’ll rely on your customer-centric perspective to uncover customer pain points in the MegaFood ecommerce shopping experience and propose solutions.
 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    

  • Execute merchandising, promotions, messaging, photos and product mix to increase revenue based on marketing plans and optimizations to the customer experience
  • Own ecommerce site taxonomy, categories, page templates, search functionality, store locator and other product sale experiences
  • Conduct methodology and metrics to track KPI success and customer engagement via web analytics reports & dashboards (weekly/monthly/yearly)
  • Analyze sales trends, key items, product profitability and aged inventory and make recommendations for driving more sales
  • Conduct weekly site maintenance by reacting to sales trends and web analytics
  • Ensure new product releases and promotion are launched timely on the site, managing product flow and product availability in collaboration with buyers and allocation team, and partnering with marketing to define and execute online campaigns
  • Support 3rd party partners (Amazon, etc) in collaboration with Brand and Sales team members
  • Participate in SalesForce Commerce Cloud training as necessary
  • Work with copywriter to enhance product descriptions and landing page details for SEO best practices and keyword/content research and measurement
  • Stay current on trends among direct competitors and best-in-class e-commerce sites, recommend ways the company can leverage best practices to enhance our digital efforts
  • Seek out opportunities to improve processes and methods to work smarter and deliver results

 

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-3 years experience in merchandising, either in retail, Ecommerce or similar project work
  • Experience maintaining and operating web based applications.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel is required; Photoshop, and HTML experience is preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (formerly Demandware) experience is preferred
  • Background with CPG and/or nutritional supplements or natural industry a plus
  • Proficiency with Google analytics and other digital marketing tracking tools
  • Understanding of merchandising and marketing strategies
  • Passionate about the customer with an interest in understanding and driving user behavior
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Strong sense of self-motivation as well as service and support orientation
  • Execution oriented, able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
  • Extreme attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and ability to effectively prioritize

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field is preferred - or equivalent work experience.
